Tons of vintage work this time around at AIPAD 2022, but there was some contemporary work that stood out to me too. I noted there seemed to be fewer “usual suspects”, some new finds, and some old stand-bys.
Highlights include:
- Etherton’s booth was chock-full of Joel-Peter Witkin
- Stunning Lewis Baltz’ photos were at a few booths including Stephen Daiter Gallery
- Nineteenth-century landscapes, per normal at Hans P. Krause Jr. Fine Photographs
- Dutch landscapes of Witho Worms at L. Parker Stephenson Photographs
- Icy lands of Adam Katseff at Robert Koch Gallery
- Great British photographers Graham Smith and Tom Wood at Augusta Edwards Fine Art
- A handful of Dawoud Bey images at Stephen Daiter Gallery
- Olaf Otto Becker, James Bidgood, and Peter Hujar at CLAMPART
- Stunning Marcia Resnick and Erwin Blumefeld at Deborah Bell Photographs
- A classic Richard Miscrach at Robert Mann Gallery
