Ben Lifson, who was a teacher of mine for a semester at the Yale University MFA Photography program while Tod Papageorge was on sabbatical, has a curious offering: teaching photography online (using IM, to be specific). Yes, I wondered, “How the hell is the possible?” too. But not only does he lay out a specific mini curriculum where you produce work every few months for review, but he has a some powerful credential to boot: Carl Socolow. A self-taught commercial photographer engaged Mr. Lifson, and he won a Guggenheim Fellowship in 2006!

I’m looking for a private tutor for Photography. Because I am a visual leaner, do you teach, or know of any tutoring over Skype?

Hi I am a newbie here. I am looking for a teacher who can teach me on photography. I guess I have found the right one. Can you teach me? If yes, then that would great! I would love too. Skype would be good because it has a video call. 🙂 thanks
