Photography Study Group Meeting Format

l’m starting a photography “study group” where a handful of us are getting together regularly for support and feedback. This is what we have so far.

Proposed Goals

  • Resource exchange
  • Support
  • Considered feedback
  • Safe place to share
  • All are equals; majority rules, if needed

Format

  • Each person shares for a few minutes an action they’ve done (10 minutes total)
  • Alternate sessions–one week is spent on a specific topic that we determine
  • The next session is devoted to sharing/reviewing work
  • For each meeting, one person could take the “lead” and share their work or a topic for 20 minutes
  • Other members could then give suggestions/feedback for about 6 minutes each
