The interesting recent article in today’s New York Times Online documents the history of photography as it looks at depressions through the recent (or current) recession.
Of course, we all think of Dorthea Lange’s and Walker Evan’s images of sharecroppers, and they, as well as today’s fine art photographers Todd Hido and Marion Belanger combine documentation with the poetic.
