A brief visit to the Editions | Artists’ Book Fair lead me to wonderful editions by Adamson Gallery. Although they were not on view, they print Kim Keever’s amazing photographs.
At David Krut, besides some wonderful William Kentridge drypoint etchings, of note were prints and drawings by Diane Victor.
Esopus Magazine offered a Richard Misrach wide landscape for only $200 (edition of 200).
I bumped into photographer (and friend/classmate) Paola Ferrario: she had some prints upstairs at One Eye Pug/Sue Scott Gallery.
20×200 had a great wall of affordable photographs.
Next, the crush of models at the Anselm Kiefer opening provided an odd contrast to the harsh vitrines at Gagosian.
Moose and paint were a bit of a surprise at Kim Dorland’s opening at Mike Weiss Gallery. His previous work used gushing globs of paint to study rural/suburban adolescence with references to lust and alienation. The current work seems to veer towards supernatural fears.
